1. What made you decide to come to Ashland University?

There were many reasons why I chose Ashland University, although, the opportunity to swim was one of the main reasons why I decided AU. I love that the swim team here is like a family, and I was really excited for the chance to continue my swimming career. Not only that, but I really like how AU is a small campus within a small town. I really enjoy the small class sizes and how my professors know me; I am not just another number on a large campus lost in a huge sea of people, and I love that aspect about AU.

2. What is your favorite thing about being on the swim team?

As I already mentioned, I love how the swim team here is like a family. We’re always there for each other and supportive of one another both in and out of the water. We really are a family, and that’s my absolute favorite thing about being on the swim team.

3. What is your major, and what do you plan to do after graduation?

I am majoring in Actuarial Science and minoring in Accounting. After graduation, I plan to work with an insurance company or an accounting firm. I plan to take some of the actuarial exams and possibly even take the CPA exam if I decide to continue my studies with accounting.

4. What is your favorite thing to do around Ashland when you don't have class or practice?

My most favorite thing to do around Ashland when I don’t have class or practice is spending time with my teammates. Whether it’s just eating together at Convo or shopping around town or watching a movie or even going for a hike when it’s nice out; it’s always fun when I’m spending time with the people who I call family.

5. If you had to pick one thing to eat for the rest of life what would it be and why?

If I had to pick one thing to eat for the rest of my life, then I think it would have to be pizza. I feel like pizza never gets old, and there’s so many different types of toppings. My favorite type of pizza would probably have to be pierogi pizza. If you’ve never heard of it (maybe it’s just a Pittsburgh thing), then you should try it!
