ALL-TIME ASHLAND UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS LIST (THROUGH MARCH 2016, PAGES 27-29

Ashland University seniors Hannah Mattar and Ali Green have earned spots on the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team in Division II, District 4.

Mattar continues racking up post-career honors, as the Academic All-District award follows her second Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner's Award in April. As the Ashland swimming program's lone representative at NCAA Division II nationals two years in a row, Mattar has single-handedly earned 88.5 Learfield Directors' Cup points for the Eagle athletic department. In 2015-16, she finished 10th at nationals in the 200-meter breaststroke, 12th in the 200 individual medley and 19th in the 400 IM.

She sports a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average in Hospitality Management.

Green's storybook 2016 spring continues, as the Academic All-District honor comes on the heels of winning both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and the East Super Region tournaments. Green enters the 2016 NCAA Division II Championships, May 18-21 at CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora, Colo., having averaged a score of 71.3 in her last six rounds.

She has a 3.86 cumulative GPA, and is an Intervention Specialist–Moderate-Intensive K-12 major.

Both Mattar and Green advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team honorees will be selected later in May.
