Ashland University's athletic department has hired six new graduate assistants for the 2016-17 school year.

- Kyle Kondor, sports information. Kondor comes to Ashland after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the spring of 2016. He earned degrees in journalism and communications media. While at IUP, Kondor served as the sports editor of The Penn, worked at IUP-TV's The Big Hit television show as a producer, show host/analyst and social media editor, and at WIUP-FM as an on-air sports host/analyst and live-game color analyst.
Kondor also has experience as a member of the sports staff at The Indiana Gazette, as a reporter for Community News Service and as a sports and social media editor at The College VOICE, the student newspaper at Mercer County Community College.
- Adam Schaly, baseball. Schaly spent four seasons as a pitcher at Division I Stetson, and was a member of the Hatters' run to the Coral Gables Regional in 2016. In his career, he saw action in 74 games (29 starts), and recorded nine wins and 116 strikeouts.
Schaly graduated Cum Laude from Stetson with a degree in finance in the spring of 2016. He was on the school's honor roll eight times and the Dean's List six times.
As a prep standout at Ashland High School, Schaly was the 2012 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year, and helped the Arrows to both district and Ohio Cardinal Conference titles as a senior. He also was the OCC Player of the Year as a junior and a senior.
- Stacie Travis, women's basketball. Travis comes to Ashland from Cedarville, where she spent the last seven-plus years as a women's basketball assistant coach and adjunct professor in the exercise and sport science department.
Travis, a 2007 Cedarville grad, also was a four-year varsity player at Cedarville from 2003-07. A starting guard during her final two seasons, she scored 763 career points and ranks eighth all-time at CU in 3-point field goal percentage (.366). Travis was part of four American Mideast Conference championship teams that advanced to the NAIA Division II tournament, where the Lady Jackets finished as the runner-up twice.
Travis was the assistant volleyball coach at CU in 2007. She spent the 2008-09 academic year as the head girls varsity basketball and volleyball coach at her alma mater, Greenbrier Christian Academy in Virginia.
- Declan McGivern, men's soccer. McGivern, a native of Huddersfield, England, played four seasons as a defender for the Notre Dame College men's soccer team and is a 2016 NDC graduate. In 71 career games, he scored eight goals and added three assists. As a senior in 2015, he recorded three goals and two helpers in 20 games.
McGivern earned first-team All-Mountain East Conference honors as a senior and a junior, and second-team all-conference laurels as a sophomore. He also was a first-team NSCAA All-Atlantic Region choice in 2014, and landed on the second team in 2015.
- Geri Siudzinski, women's soccer. Siudzinski was a tri-captain midfielder during her senior year on the University of Toledo women's soccer team in 2015, and recorded six assists in 21 games. In 80 career matches for the Rockets, she scored five goals and added 12 assists.
Since 2014, Siudzinski has spent time as head coach and assistant coach of the U-11 Pacesetter Soccer Club. She also was an assistant for two years at the Toledo Football Academy and was an assistant for the U-15 team for the Ohio Development Program in 2015.
Siudzinski graduated from Toledo in the spring of 2016 with a degree in Health Sciences. While at UT, Siudzinski spent four semesters on the Dean's list. She prepped at Perrysburg High School.
