This Week In #EagleNation – Start To Spring NCAA Postseason

LINK – ASHLAND UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS COMPOSITE CALENDAR

Ashland University's women's golf team will begin the Eagle spring 2017 NCAA postseason slate by playing in the three-day Super Region 1 tournament at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio.

This is the Eagle women's eighth appearance at the super regional in as many years, and they will be looking for their fourth team qualification for NCAA Division II nationals in that time.

WOMEN'S GOLF (LINK) – Ashland will play in the super regional on Monday-Wednesday (May 8-10) in Canton, and will do so with a lineup of senior Kaitlin Neumann, redshirt freshman Krystal Hu, sophomores Monica Torda and Morgan Eib and freshman Anna Schatschneider.

The low three teams and the low three individuals not on those teams from each of the four super regionals will advance to the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championships, May 17-20 at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

ONE TO WATCH: In the spring 2017 season, Neumann is averaging a round of 76.3 and won the SVSU Spring Invitational.

OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD (LINK) – The No. 1-ranked Eagle men, and AU women, will go to one or more last-chance weekend meets at locations, dates and times to be determined.

Ashland's men and women have compiled four automatic and 31 provisional marks for the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 25-27 in Bradenton, Fla.

ONE TO WATCH: Freshman Arthur Greenlee IV ranks No. 11 in the country in the men's 110-meter high hurdles (14.27 seconds).
