As announced by Ashland University Director of Athletics Al King on Wednesday (June 14), the Ashland Golf Club is the new home for Eagle men's and women's golf.

Ashland's athletic department and the Golf Club have signed a three-year contract.

"Our teams are excited to be playing at the Ashland Golf Club," said King. "This partnership has a long and successful history. The course is challenging, and provides excellent preparation for what we see as we make our way around the Midwest during the season. Dennis North has been extremely accommodating, not just to our golf teams, but to others at the university when we've held outings at the Club.

"The level of expertise that Dennis has will also benefit our teams."

Said North, Ashland Golf Club General Manager and PGA professional, "We're really excited to have the university back. The kids only have to drive a couple miles to practice. We're extremely blessed and happy on our end to have that relationship back with the university.

"It's one of the things on our list we wanted to do, was to get the university back."

The course at the Ashland Golf Club is a traditional-style 18-hole championship course with rolling terrain, tree-lined bent grass fairways, fabulous greens and breathtaking scenery.

The Ashland women and the Ashland Golf Club will be the hosts for the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

"We keep getting a couple really good tournaments a year," said North, "and we're really excited to be able to host that, as well."

Ashland's men and women previously had called Mohican Hills Golf Club home the last two years.

"I would be remiss if I didn't thank the Mohican Hills Golf Club for serving as our home for the past two years," King said. "They were an exceptional host, and we have a lot of positive memories from our time there."
