Another day of rain during one of the most disappointing springs in recent memory in terms of weather resulted in a complete wipe-out of Ashland University's home athletics events on Sunday (April 16).

For the second consecutive day, the Eagle softball team had a doubleheader postponed. On Saturday (April 15), it was at Wayne State. On Sunday, it was at Brookside Park vs. Tiffin. No official make-up date has been announced for either twinbill.

Ashland (13-13 overall, 3-5 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) will look to get back on the field this week with five road doubleheaders in a six-day span, starting on Tuesday (April 17) at 2 p.m. at Ferris State.

For the AU women's golf team, Sunday's rain means its Ashland Invitational was shortened to 18 holes. It is the third round of golf the team will have missed out on since March 24.

The Eagle women will compete at the 2018 GLIAC Championships, Friday (April 20) through Sunday (April 22) at The Virtues in Nashport, Ohio.
