Marching Band "Sounds of the Stadium" Concert Set For Nov. 4

The Ashland University marching band will hold a "Sounds of the Stadium" concert at Kates Gymnasium on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the community.

The band will play a selection of music from the fall football season, including much of the music that was performed at each of the five home football games.

"We're really excited about it, it's going to be really cool," said Joseph Lewis, director of bands at Ashland University. "We used to do this years ago before I was here, but I wanted to start it up again because it's an opportunity for parents and fans to come see the shows and listen to the music if they didn't have an opportunity to come to the games.

"It's going to be a great way to showcase the music, and a great opportunity for parents and the community to come out, listen to the band and enjoy some of that music."

The band will make a marching entrance into the gym and play their pregame routine that includes the fight song, national anthem and alma mater.

Lewis said the band will play music from several of its theme shows from the football season, including its Boy Band Show, Spy Show, Panic! at the Disco, The Greatest Showman, and a 70s Show.

The show will also showcase the band's color guard and feature twirlers throughout the show.
