Thursday's (Jan. 31) scheduled Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball doubleheader at Kates Gymnasium between Ashland University and Davenport has been postponed to a date and time to be determined.

The postponement is due to Davenport's inability to make the trip to Ashland. Davenport's campus is slated to be closed both on Wednesday (Jan. 30) and Thursday (Jan. 31) due to inclement weather.

No decision on a makeup date and time has been made, although both games will be played.

The next games for Ashland's women's and men's basketball teams will be Saturday (Feb. 2) at 1 and 3 p.m., respectively, on Faith Day vs. Grand Valley State.

Ashland's women are 18-1 overall and 10-1 in the GLIAC, and will take winning streaks of 11 games overall and 49 games at Kates Gymnasium into Saturday's game vs. the No. T-15 Lakers (17-2, 10-1). Both the Eagles and Lakers are tied for first in the conference standings.

The Eagle men also are 18-1, 10-1, and have won five in a row going into Saturday's contest with GVSU (11-8, 5-6). AU's men lead the GLIAC standings by two games over Davenport.
