Hamilton Named Interim Director Of Tennis Operations

Ashland University Director of Tennis Operations Lexi Bolesky has resigned, as announced by AU Director of Athletics Al King on Friday (Dec. 20).

Assistant coach Christian Hamilton has been named the Eagles' interim Director of Tennis Operations.

"During his time here Christian has worked extremely hard and built some strong relationships with our student-athletes," King said. "He's a busy young man right now and I'm sure there are going to be instances where it seems like an avalanche is coming his way. But he deserves this opportunity. He learned a great deal from an excellent teacher in Lexi Bolesky. Our goals for the program remain the same - to give our student-athletes the best overall experience possible. Christian will do everything possible to do that."

Bolesky spent two seasons as the Eagles' head women's tennis coach and two as the director of tennis operations with the addition of the men's tennis program. She led the Eagle women to three consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament appearances, and the AU men to a spot in the GLIAC Tournament in 2019 in its first season back on campus. This past fall, Ashland's women won a GLIAC Tournament match for the first time in seven years.

Hamilton has spent the past year and a half as AU's assistant tennis coach.
