Jeremy Hancock is in his 19th year at Ashland University. He was named AU's Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Sports Medicine on May 23, 2017.

While he works with all Eagle sports, his primary responsibilities are football, men's golf and women's golf. At Ashland, Hancock also supervises undergraduate athletic training majors.

Hancock earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training with an emphasis in exercise physiology from Ohio University in 1998. He received his master's degree in sport management from Cleveland State in 2000.

Prior to joining the Eagles, Hancock was the head athletic trainer at Richland Therapy Clinic.  Hancock handled the athletic training needs of area high schools and worked in the rehabilitation and construction of exercise programs for patients.

In the summer of 2000, he completed an internship with the Cleveland Indians' Class AA affiliate, the Akron Aeros. His background includes a stint as a graduate assistant with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During that time, he served as an athletic trainer at Westlake High School.

While he was at Ohio University, Hancock handled athletic training responsibilities for a number of teams.  In 1997 and 1998, he was the head student athletic trainer for wrestling. During his time in Athens, Ohio, he worked with track, football, softball, women's basketball and men's and women's swimming and diving. In 1998, he worked the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland.

In 2013, Hancock served as the athletic trainer for the United States softball team that traveled to Auckland, New Zealand, for the ISF World Softball Championships. He also went to Canada as the athletic trainer with the United States women's junior softball team in July, 2013.

Hancock and his wife, Carrie, and twins Dylan and Tess, both age 11, reside in Ashland. Carrie is a Certifiied Nurse Practitioner working with Ohio Health.
