Scott Vander Sloot is in his second season as the graduate assistant in Ashland University's athletic communications department, spearheading the department's video and social media efforts.

Vander Sloot, a 2018 graduate of Ferris State, was a communications assistant in the Ferris State athletic department. He was the social media lead for the department during the basketball team's NCAA Division II national championship run, among other duties, broadcast Bulldog hockey for Sunny 97.3, captured and edited video and audio for all sports, was a sideline reporter for Sunny 97.3 football broadcasts, and created video board content and sponsored pre-/post-game graphics.

Vander Sloot majored in Sports Communication and minored in Multimedia Journalism at Ferris State.
