High School: Kaido prepped at Zanesville High School, lettering in baseball, golf and soccer for the Blue Devils. He was named first team all-district three times and first-team All-Southeast Ohio Athletic League twice. He batted .500 with 51 hits and 44 RBI in his senior season, also hitting three home runs in one game. The Blue Devils were regional runners-up twice and won two district championships while Kaido played.

Personal: He is the son of Mark Kaido and Jackie Nezbeth. His birthday is Oct. 1, 1991. Kaido is majoring in history and political science.
