2012: The right-hander led the Eagles in ERA (2.17). He was third in the GLIAC in ERA and tied for third in innings pitched (78.2). Thomas tied for the team lead in starts (13). He tied for second on the club in wins (7). Opponents hit .248 against him.

2011: Thomas was one of three AU pitchers to win five games, which tied him for second on team. He was third on the team in strikeouts (33) and was second on the team in starts (12) and appearances (15). Thomas had a 5-4 record.

2010: Thomas did not see varsity action.

2009: Thomas pitched in six games his sophomore season, starting two. He pitched 17.1 innings, and allowed 12 earned runs. He compiled a 1-1 record and struck out eight batters. In one of his two starts, he pitched a complete game. He made three appearances in junior varsity play, giving up seven earned runs in nine innings

2008: Thomas moved into a starting role early in the season. He pitched in 13 games, starting eight. In 56.1 innings, he struck out 21, giving up 37 earned runs. He finished the season 5-3 with a 5.91 ERA. Thomas earned his first collegiate win on March 9 against Lock Haven. In the victory, he pitched seven innings, giving up just one run. Thomas was a regular in the rotation for a team that won a regional championship and advanced to the World Series.

High School: In 2007, Thomas was named first team all-conference. He was also the team’s most outstanding pitcher and offensive player of the year. Thomas was named the DIX Communications All-Star Game MVP. He had a batting average of .409, a 1.85 ERA and struck out 81 hitters his senior season. He was a captain of his baseball and football teams. Thomas received all-league honors and All-Wooster Daily Record honors in football, basketball and baseball. He was named all-district in football and basketball. In football, he was first team All-Ohio and set the school single-season record with 1,102 receiving yards. He received three letters in baseball, two in football and two in basketball.

Personal: The AU pitcher is the son of Brad and Teri Thomas. Thomas is majoring in middle childhood education.
