The AU baseball team saw its four-game winning streak come to a halt on Tuesday (Mar. 4) when it lost to St. Francis (Ill.), 11-1 in seven innings. The game was played in Florida.
Freshman righty Dan Whitacre started and absorbed the loss. He lasted 4.1 innings and was touched for six runs.
The Eagles had nine hits. Outfielder Mackenzie Hampshire was 2-for-4 with a double. First baseman Tyler Gray and second baseman Stephen James also went 2-for-4.
The Eagles are 5-2 and will play Cornerstone (Mich.) on Wednesday.
