2014: Cox saw significant time on the mound as a freshman...Was 3-2 with a 6.12 earned run average in 50 innings...Saw time in 18 games, six of which were starting assignments...Pitched four hitless innings of relief with three strikeouts on March 14 against Cedarville.

High School: Cox was a second-team All-Ohio honoree...Was first-team All-Mid State League in baseball, basketball and football...Was named the 2013 Licking County Male Athlete of the Year...Cox was 10-2 and pitched a complete game in the state title game, a 2-1 victory, his senior year...With Cox in the lineup, Newark Catholic won the 2013 state championship and was the state runner-up in 2012 and 2010...Cox lettered four times each in baseball and basketball and earned two citations in football.

Personal: Cox is the son of Jeff and Jane Cox. He is a finance major.
