Ashland University's baseball team returns from Indiana at 1-2 following a 4-2 loss on Sunday (Feb. 28) against St. Joseph's at the USI Baseball/Dunn Hospitality Classic.
Sophomore designated hitter Greg Ludwig was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and junior third baseman Lance Myers and junior catcher Adam Vasil each drove in a run - Vasil on a sacrifice fly in the second inning and Myers on an RBI double in the ninth.
Junior pitcher Cory Teachout took the loss, allowing two runs (both unearned), two hits and five walks and striking out six in four innings.
The Eagles will begin their annual Florida trip on Friday (March 4) at 6 p.m. against Lewis.
