Baseball Rebounds With 10-2 Florida Win Over Ohio Valley

Ashland University's baseball team has won four of five games in Florida following a 10-2 win on Tuesday (March 8) over Ohio Valley.

The Eagles' 13-hit attack was paced by senior shortstop Mike Lewandowski (2-for-4, double, two RBIs), senior first baseman Mackenzie Hampshire (2-for-3, two runs scored, two RBIs), sophomore second baseman Edmond Pilolli (two RBIs) and junior catcher Adam Vasil (2-for-4, RBI).

Sophomore pitcher Pat Carlozzi earned his first victory of the season, turning in a 12-strikeout gem in 6 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits, five walks and a run. Senior Matt Kruzel pitched the final 2 1/3 frames, allowing a run.

The Eagles (5-3) will return to action on Wednesday (March 9) at 11 a.m. against Minnesota State-Mankato.
