Spring weather in Ohio finally has caught up with Ashland University's baseball team's schedule.

The No. 17-ranked Eagles, who originally were scheduled to play host to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Davenport at Donges Field on Friday-Sunday (March 29-31), now will play the Panthers at home on Sunday-Tuesday (March 31-April 2), due to impending rain on Friday and Saturday.

With the change, the Ashland-Davenport series schedule will be:

- One nine-inning game on Sunday at 3 p.m.

- Two seven-inning games on Monday at 2 and 5 p.m.

- One nine-inning game on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Ashland is 19-3 overall and 4-0 in the GLIAC, and that 22-game overall start matches the best in school history, originally set by the 2006 squad. The Eagles have won 10 consecutive games, the most in the program since 2015 (also 10).

On Wednesday (March 27), Ashland moved up from receiving votes to No. 17 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll.

The Eagles lead the early-season GLIAC standings, while the Panthers are 13-7, 1-3.
