For three seasons, Meder has been one of the most dominating players in the GLIAC. He's now recognized on the regional and national levels as one of the best defensive linemen in NCAA Division II football...named the 2013 Ohio College Football Preseason Defensive Player of the Year...tabbed as a First Team Preseason All-American by the Beyond Sports Network and USA College Football...selected as a Second Team Preseason All-American by D2 Football.

2012: First AU player to ever be named the GLIAC defensive lineman of the year...was a Second Team Daktronics all-region pick and was a Beyond Sports Network Second Team All-American...earned a spot on the Ohio College Football First Team...named to the All-GLIAC First Team for the third consecutive season...was fourth on the team in tackles and second in sacks...tied his career high in tackles (10) against Findlay (Oct. 27)...had three games with eight tackles - at Malone (Oct. 20), at Ohio Dominican (Oct. 6) and at Ferris State (Sept. 15)...should end his career in the top five in tackles for loss.

2011: Meder followed up his award-winning rookie season by being named first team All-GLIAC…combined with Jeris Pendleton to give AU one of the best one-team defensive-line tandems in the nation...was cited as a preseason All-American by D2football.com...Meder had a career-high 10 tackles (four solo), along with 2.5 tackles for loss (six yards) and a forced fumble at Hillsdale (Sept. 17)...registered eight tackles (three solo), 1.5 sacks (six yards) and 2.5 tackles for loss (seven yards) at Northwood (Oct. 1)...led the team in tackles for loss and tied for second in sacks...had a team-leading two forced fumbles and blocked one kick...was fifth on the team in tackles.

2010: Meder was recognized as the GLIAC freshman of the year, he’s the only AU player to ever receive that award…was named first team All-GLIAC…reached his season high of seven tackles twice…had seven stops (three solo) with three tackles for loss and two sacks (15 yards) against Bloomsburg…finished with seven tackles (one solo) with a sack at Indianapolis (Sept. 11)…posted six tackles (three solo) against nationally-ranked Hillsdale (Sept. 18)…paced the Eagles in sacks and tackles for loss…Meder tied for 10th in the GLIAC in sacks and tied for 12th in tackles for loss.

High School: As a senior, Meder was named first team all-conference and was tabbed the defensive player of the year…was named second team All-Ohio…lettered four times in wrestling and three times in football.

Personal: The defensive lineman is the son of Don and Karen Meder.
