In the first official regional rankings released this week, Ashland University's football team is ranked seventh in Super Region Four. The top six teams advance to the NCAA playoffs.
The Eagles have earned a spot in the postseason on five other occasions (1986, 1997, 2007, 2008 and 2012).
Ashland (7-1) will travel to Grand Valley State (4-4) Saturday (Nov. 1) at 7 p.m. The Eagles will finish the regular season with a game at Michigan Tech (6-1), ranked sixth in Super Region Four, on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
