Ashland University senior safety Eric Schwieterman has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2014-15 First Team in Division II, District 4.
Schwieterman has excelled in the classroom and on the field during his time at AU. He sports a 3.74 grade-point average in Finance, and is tied for 10th among active Division II players in interceptions with 10.
Schwieterman now will go on the ballot for consideration for CoSIDA Academic All-America.
In nine games (all starts) in 2014, Schwieterman has 22 total tackles, a 34-yard interception return and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
