Four Eagles Earn BSN Super Region 4 Football Honors

Four Ashland University football players have earned All-Super Region 4 honors from Beyond Sports Network.

Senior left guard James Triplett earned first-team regional honors from BSN. Earlier this offseason, Triplett was a second-team selection on the 2014 Daktronics All-Super Region Four team, as well as a first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference choice.

Three Eagles earned third-team regional selection – senior running back Anthony Taylor, senior wide receiver Dan Piko and junior safety Kyle Tomko. Taylor, also a first-team All-GLIAC choice, is the program's all-time leading rusher and touchdown scorer, and ran for 1,177 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2014.

Piko, another first-team All-GLIAC choice, caught 64 passes for 806 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Tomko, an All-GLIAC second-teamer, had 53 total tackles, one sack, 3½ tackles for loss and two interceptions.
