Ashland University senior football players Anthony Taylor and James Triplett earned second-team honors on the 2014 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region Four team, released Monday (Dec. 15).
Taylor, Ashland's leading tailback the last three seasons, as well as the program's all-time rushing yards and total touchdowns leader, also has earned third-team Beyond Sports Network All-Super Region Four honors, as well as first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference laurels. In 2014, Taylor rushed 192 times for 1,177 yards and 13 touchdowns, and caught nine passes for 78 yards and another score.
Triplett, a three-year starter for the Eagles at left guard, earned first-team all-region honors from BSN, along with being a first-team All-GLIAC choice.
