Ashland University's football team remains in the No. 8 spot in the latest American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released on Monday (Oct. 19) morning.
The Eagles are 7-0 overall and in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and are on the verge of winning the GLIAC South Division title. Ashland is 4-0 on the road in 2015 going into its final regular-season game away from Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field on Saturday (Oct. 24) at 1 p.m. at Northern Michigan.
Ashland is one of four GLIAC teams in the Top 25, along with Ferris State (No. 4), Grand Valley State (No. 12) and Michigan Tech (No. 17). The Eagles' final two home games of the season are Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. against the Lakers, and Saturday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. vs. the Huskies.
