Ashland University sophomore tight end Adam Shaheen has earned a spot on the 2015-16 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team in Division II, District 4.
Shaheen has had perhaps the best season for an Ashland tight end in program history, catching 57 passes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns in the first nine games of 2015. He is tied for second in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in receptions, tied for third in touchdown catches and seventh in receiving yardage.
Shaheen sports a 3.93 cumulative grade-point average as a Finance major.
He will advance to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot in Division II. That team will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
