Six Ashland University football players have earned recognition on the 2015 Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Teams, released on Wednesday (Jan. 27).
Earning second-team laurels are sophomore tight end Adam Shaheen (70 catches, 803 yards, 10 touchdowns), junior right guard Zachary Douglass (graded out at 91 percent, had 78 takedowns during the regular season) and senior safety Donzale Ashley (52 total tackles, three interceptions).
Landing spots on the third team are junior tailback Vance Settlemire (1,116 rushing yards, 19 total touchdowns), senior defensive end Chase Hoobler (45 total tackles, one sack, 6½ tackles for loss) and junior inside linebacker Brandon Gency (103 total tackles, 1½ sacks, 10½ tackles for loss).
Shaheen, Douglass and Ashley advance to a national ballot, from which the 2015 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team will be named in February.
