Ashland University's football team will play 11 regular-season games in 2016 after adding a road contest with Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
That date originally was a bye week for the Eagles.
Ashland will play a nine-game schedule in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, plus non-conference games at home against Mercyhurst on Sept. 1 and at Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Eagles will begin 2016 with three straight games at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field – Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. against the Lakers, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. vs. Wayne State and Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. against Findlay. Ashland will follow that with a game at fellow 2015 co-GLIAC champion Ferris State at 3:30 p.m.
