After each Ashland University football game in 2016, Ohio Health will announce a Player of the Game.
On Thursday (Sept. 1), the Eagles kicked off the 2016 season with a 48-0 win over Mercyhurst at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field. Junior defensive end Austin Utter, making his first AU start, recorded two sacks, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup in the victory, to earn the first Ohio Health Player of the Game award.
