After each Ashland University football game in 2016, Ohio Health will announce a Player of the Game.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, the No. 5-ranked Eagles rallied to score 25 unanswered points and beat No. 7-ranked Ferris State on the road, 39-31. Senior inside linebacker Brandon Gency racked up 15 total tackles, one sack, 1 1/2 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and a 39-yard fumble-return touchdown to earn the fourth Ohio Health Player of the Game award.
