For the first time since the end of September, Ashland University's football team is in the top 10 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Top 25 poll, as the Eagles are ranked No. 9 in the poll released on Monday (Oct. 24) afternoon.

The Eagles are 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and continue to lead the GLIAC South Division by one game over second-place Ohio Dominican and 1½ games over third-place Tiffin.

Since 2006, the Eagles are 34-15 (.694) as an AFCA Top 25 team. Since the start of the 2014 campaign, Ashland is 19-3 (.864) when playing as a ranked team.
