For the second week in a row, Ashland University junior tailback Andrew Vaughn is the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Vaughn earned the Week 10 honor, announced by the GLIAC on Monday (Nov. 6) morning, thanks to 161 yards and three touchdowns rushing on 23 attempts in the No. 11-ranked Eagles' 34-31 last-second home win over No. 19 Grand Valley State on Saturday (Nov. 4) night. His touchdown runs were 53 yards in the second quarter, two yards in the third quarter and two yards in the fourth quarter.

Saturday night's contest was Vaughn's fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing game and sixth of the season, and his third in a row with at least 150 yards and two scores on the ground.

Vaughn's award gives Ashland seven GLIAC football Player of the Week laurels in 2017, the program's highest single-season total since 2010 (seven).

Ashland (9-1 overall, 8-0 GLIAC), already having clinched at least a share of the 2017 GLIAC championship, will look to earn it outright on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 1 p.m. on Senior Day at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field vs. Saginaw Valley State (5-5, 3-5).
