Three Ashland University football players have earned spots on the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Football Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), and released on Thursday (Nov. 15) afternoon.
In NCAA Division II – Super Region 3, senior snapper Travis Downing, senior defensive tackle/tight end Jack Holl and senior safety Isaiah Stiverson all earned Academic All-District honors.
- Downing finished his fourth season as Ashland's snapper in 2018, and has a 3.92 cumulative grade-point average in Sport Management.
- Holl spent most of the past season playing both defense and offense, recording 26 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles. He has a 3.74 cumulative GPA in Business Management.
- Stiverson was a starting safety for the Eagles, posting 38 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and a forced fumble. He has a 3.70 cumulative GPA in Marketing.
Downing, Holl and Stiverson all advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team (if applicable) Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
