Ashland University's football team will begin the 2019 season in a little more than six weeks.
Those returning season-ticket holders wanting to catch all of the action this fall at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field will have the opportunity to renew their packages on Wednesday (July 24) at 10 a.m. Those fans should refer to an e-mail previously sent out about renewal, which can be done by visiting the AU Campus Store, or by calling 419-289-5336. Renewals can also be done online via the link sent in the e-mail.
Returning season-ticket holders have until Aug. 6 at 11:59 p.m. to secure those seats.
New season and single-game tickets will be available starting Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. Those wanting to purchase season and single-game tickets can click the above link and order online, visit the AU Campus Store, or call 419-289-5336.
Fans who purchase their season tickets in person at the Campus Store will receive a 15-percent-off in-store coupon.
This year's Eagle football ticket prices are as follows:
- Reserved chair-back season tickets are $70.
- General-admission season tickets are $45.
- Non-AU student/seniors (age 62 and older) season tickets are $15.
- Single-game reserved seating tickets are $15.
- Single-game adult general-admission tickets are $10.
- Single-game tickets for non-AU students and seniors (age 62 and older) are $5.
The 2019 home schedule for Ashland football features two 2018 NCAA Division II postseason teams – the season-opener on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. vs. Indianapolis (10-2), and Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. vs. national runner-up Ferris State (15-1). The Eagles' 96th Homecoming game will be Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. vs. Davenport (6-5), and the home schedule concludes with 1 p.m. games vs. Upper Peninsula foes – Oct. 26 vs. Michigan Tech (4-6) and Nov. 16 vs. Northern Michigan (3-8).
Ashland is coming off a 2018 season in which it went 6-4 overall and 6-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with all four defeats coming at the hands of nationally-ranked teams by a total of 21 points. The Eagles return seven starters each on offense and defense, and a total of nine All-GLIAC players from a year ago.
With two more victories, Ashland's football program, which started in 1920, will have 500 wins all-time.
