Ashland University football players Logan Bolin and Clay Shreve have earned spots on the 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team in NCAA Division II, Super Region 3.
Bolin, a junior wide receiver, leads the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in receptions (51) and receiving yards (770) in 2019, and sports a 3.54 cumulative grade-point average as a Finance major through the spring 2019 semester.
Shreve, a senior linebacker, is third in the GLIAC in total tackles (90) and tied for 13th in tackles for loss (8½), and has a 3.96 cumulative GPA as a Music Education major through the spring 2019 semester.
Bolin and Shreve are the 10th and 11th Eagle football players to earn Academic All-District honors since 2007. They will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, and those 2019 teams will be announced on Dec. 10 at noon.
Ashland's football team (6-4 overall, 5-2 GLIAC) will conclude the 2019 season on Saturday (Nov. 16) at 1 p.m. at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field against Northern Michigan (1-8, 0-7).
