Men's Basketball, Cheer & Dance Take Part in Costume Capers Oct. 29

The Ashland University men's basketball team and the AU Cheer & Dance squads will once again take part in the Ashland Main Street Costume Capers event next Tuesday (Oct. 29) evening. The event runs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. with a costume contest at 6 p.m. at the east end of Main Street.

The event brings families in the Ashland community to the downtown businesses on Main Street for a Halloween celebration that features costumes, games, and trick-or-treating.

The men's basketball team will be in uniform at the event to hand out candy to children and have games set up for them to play as they venture downtown in their costumes.

The cheer & dance teams will be busy handing out candy as well, while also applying mini AU Eagle tattoos to the costumed trick-or-treaters.

The Eagles, and the men's basketball team in particular, have been involved with Costume Capers since its inception downtown. The event morphed from AU's Tuffy's Trick or Treat which started on campus in 2009 before joining with the Ashland Main Street event in recent years.
