Senior Brendan Jenkins (Dublin, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) finished in a tie for seventh place and the AU men's golf team finished in ninth place in the first NCAA Division II regional event of the spring. This tournament was hosted by Bellarmine and played at The Jewell in Georgetown, Ky,
Jenkins was the lone AU golfer to place in the Top 25. He shot 147. Medalist honors went to David Abolt of Missouri-St. Louis. He shot 137.
Ashland's team score was 605. Missouri-St. Louis was first (572). Ferris State and Bellarmine both shot 595 and tied for second place. Indianapolis (596) was fourth and Tiffin (597) was fifth. The field included 24 teams.
