Men's Golf Shares Lead After First Day At Regional

The AU men's golf team ended Monday (Oct. 14), the first day of play at the NCAA Regional Tournament, tied for first place.

Malone and Ashland are deadlocked at the top of the leader board. Both schools shot 292 on Monday. Wayne State (294) is third.

Austin Schreiber shot 71 to lead AU. He's tied for fourth place. Jake Houston is next - he shot 72 and is tied for seventh. Nick Blackburn is tied for 17th. His opening round score was 74. Eric Dowiatt shot 75 and is tied for 20th.

This Great Lakes Region event is being played in Eureka, Mo., at the Fox Run Golf Club.

Play will resume on Tuesday.
