Little went according to plan for the AU men's golf team on Monday (May 5). The Eagles are in Eureka, Mo., playing in the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional Tournament. Monday was the first day of play and the Eagles shot 321, which puts them 20th in the field.
Ashland's best score came from Jake Houston. He shot 77 and is tied for 52nd place.
Malone ended the first round in first place. The Pioneers shot 291. Grand Valley State is close behind at 292 and Central Missour is third at 293.
Marcos Sevilla of Southeastern Oklahoma State shot 68 to take the first day lead in the individual standings.
