Men's Golf Competes at GLIAC North Invite

The Ashland University men's golf team competed at GLIAC North Fall Invitational on September 20-21 at HawksHead Links Golf Course in South Haven, Mich.

The Eagles had its top five golfers compete together in the team competition, where the Eagles finished eighth out of 14 teams. AU shot 614.

Ashland had two golfers finish in the top 25 individually. Senior Eric Dowiatt placed tied for 20th after shooting a 151 in the two-day competition. Junior Austin Schreiber finished tied for 23rd with a 152.

Junior Brandon Nixon had the lowest single round for Ashland in the tournament, posting a 72 on the first day of competition.

Grand Valley State won the team competition with a 593. The medalist was Malone University's Garrison Myles. His score was 143. 

Ashland's next competition will be the NCAA Midwest Fall Regional Sept. 29-30th in Chicago, Illinois.
