Seven past, present and future Ashland University men's golfers competed in the 95th Davey Tree Ohio Open Championship at Westfield Country Club.
In less-than-ideal conditions due to recent rain, senior Austin Schreiber finished at 2-over 144 (69-75), and sophomore Chandler Walnsch ended at 4-over 146 (72-74). Freshman Cole Smith (74-75—149), senior Brandon Nixon (78-76—154) and redshirt freshman Frank Steffen (78-79—157) were among the current Eagles to compete.
Jake Houston, a 2015 AU graduate who is a professional, was 76-79—155, while Mark Scott Jr., a 2013 Ashland grad, finished 75-73—148.
