The Ashland University men's golf team finished the two-day Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Invitational tied for a ninth-place finish.
Ashland fired a first-round team score of 297 and was tied for fourth place after Day 1 on Sunday (Sept. 20). The Eagles followed that with a second-round 304 on Monday (Sept. 21).
Seniors Brandon Nixon and Austin Schreiber and sophomore Chandler Walnsch all tied for the Eagles' tournament-low of 150.
Redshirt sophomore Gabriel Reynolds (152) and freshman Austin Kondratick (155) also competed for Ashland.
Nixon had AU's lowest overall round with an even-par 72 on Sunday.
Grand Valley State won the tournament with a score of 581. Malone finished just two strokes back with a 583. The Eagles had a team score of 601.
AU will return to the links on Oct. 3-4 at the Kyle Ryman Invitational in Tiffin, Ohio.
