Men's Golf Third At Kyle Ryman Memorial Invite

The Ashland University men's golf team finished in third place at the Kyle Ryman Memorial tournament, hosted by Tiffin University, on Sunday (Oct. 4).

Ashland led after Day 1, shooting a 302, sitting one stroke ahead of the host Dragons. Day 2 saw the Eagles give up some ground to the leaders, as AU shot a 310, while Tiffin and Malone fired off 294s.

The Eagles settled in third place with a 612 overall, 15 shots back of the winning Pioneers.

Freshman Austin Kondratick tied for seventh, along with Eagle teammate Gabriel Reynolds, a sophomore. Both golfers finished with an individual score of 151.

Senior Austin Schreiber tied for 14th, shooting a 154. Two strokes back of Schreiber was sophomore Chandler Walnsch.

The Eagles will return to the course on Monday (Oct. 12) in the Great Lakes Regional. The event will be at Fox Run Country Club in Eureka, Mo.
