Ashland University's men's golf team concluded the two-day Findlay Fall Invitational on Monday (Sept. 25) by placing 13th in the 15-team field.
The Eagles finished the tourney at 307-303—610. Indianapolis and Malone tied for first place with matching 285-293—578s (Indy won the team playoff), while Grand Valley State (295-284—579) took third place.
Junior Austin Kondratick, as he has in every fall event in both 2016 and 2017, led Ashland's contingent by finishing in a tie for 25th at 73-76—149. Right behind was freshman Ben Jones, who was tied for 34th at 78-72—150.
Rounding out the Eagle team scoring were senior Chandler Walnsch (tied for 51st, 77-76—153), sophomore Frank Steffen (tied for 86th, 80-81—161) and junior Cole Smith (93rd, 87-82—169).
Playing as individuals were juniors Tyler Starr (tied for 63rd, 71-84—155) and Frank Steffen (tied for 86th, 80-81—161), and freshman Hunter Lowder (tied for 79th, 81-77—158).
UP NEXT: The end of the 2017 fall season on Saturday (Sept. 30) and Sunday (Oct. 1) at the Kyle Ryman Memorial at the Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
