Ashland Men End Fall Campaign 13th At Tiffin

The Ashland University men's golf team concluded its 2017 fall season on Sunday (Oct. 1) with a 13th-place finish at the 21-team Kyle Ryman Memorial at Mohawk Golf & Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.

At 301-305-298—904, the Eagle men were 35 shots behind team champion Wayne State (291-288-290—869). Grand Valley State was second (292-289-295—876), while the host Dragons and Hillsdale tied for third with a three-round total of 877.

Junior Austin Kondratick led the Ashland contingent by finishing in a tie for 20th individually at 71-76-73—220. He has been the Eagles' pacesetter in all 10 total fall tournaments in 2016 and 2017.

Freshman Ben Jones used a final-round 73 to move up to a tie for 48th at 77-77-73—227. Another rookie, Hunter Lowder, was 75-75-77—227 and tied with Jones for 48th

Senior Chandler Walnsch placed in a tie for 66th (78-78-75—231), while junior Frank Steffen tied for 95th (88-77-78—243).
