Austin Kondratick used "moving day" to move himself to the top of the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships leaderboard.

On Day 2 of the GLIAC Championships on Saturday (April 21) at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio, Kondratick fired a 1-under-par round of 71, including three birdies, to take a one-shot lead into the tournament's final 18 holes.

His two-day total of 74-71—145 is one stroke better than the Grand Valley State pair of Alex Scott (77-69—146) and Mitchell White (74-72—146).

Ashland's men sat atop the team leaderboard after the first day of competition, but will go into the final round in third place at 302-307—609. The nationally-ranked Lakers are first (303-291—594), followed by Tiffin (310-297—607) and the Eagles.

Sophomore Patrick Steffen is tied for 14th after 36 holes at 74-79—153 after a Saturday with two birdies, while freshman Ben Jones is tied for 20th at 77-78—155 after a pair of birdies on the second day.

Senior Chandler Walnsch sits tied for 23rd (77-79--156), while junior Cole Smith is tied for 39th (78-84--162).
