Ashland Men Conclude Play At Fox Run Regional

Ashland University's men's golf team finished play on Tuesday (Oct. 8) at the Midwest Regional at Fox Run in Eureka, Mo., placing 15th in the 17-team field.

Leading the Eagles after 54 holes were completed was freshman Andrew Kolar, who finished in a tie for 15th place individually at 75-73-75—223. On Tuesday, Kolar recorded three birdies on holes No. 7, 9 and 13.

Junior Ben Jones tied for 38th at 78-79-74—231, including a stretch on Tuesday of three birdies in four holes at No. 12, 13 and 15.

Senior Patrick Steffen was 71st (76-83-83—242), sophomore Brent Dillon tied for 72nd (80-83-81—244), and sophomore Jace Ruggerio was 84th (84-82-89—255).

McKendree earned team champion status at 292-298-299—889. Maryville was two strokes back at 297-294-300—891, and Missouri-St. Louis was third at 308-289-297—894.

The Eagle men will turn around and play on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 13-14) at the Wayne State Motor City Invite at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Mich.
