The Ashland University men's tennis program has returned this season after a two-decade-plus hiatus.

It hasn't taken the Eagle men long to learn how to win, however, as a 7-0 victory at Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday (Feb. 23) afternoon gives them a four-match winning streak.

In singles action, sweeping their matches were junior Priyank Soni at No. 1 (6-2, 6-1), freshman Stuart Brdicka at No. 2 (6-1, 6-2), freshman Jordan Phelps at No. 3 (6-3, 6-3), freshman Colten Clark at No. 4 (6-0, 6-1) and freshman Tche Kun Teng at No. 5 (6-3, 6-0).

Sophomore Nathan Sims won in three sets at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.

It took single sets for all three Eagle doubles teams to win. Phelps and Brdicka won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, Clark and Tche won 7-5 at No. 2, and freshman Shivam Patel and Sims won at No. 3, 6-4.

Ashland's men will play on Sunday (Feb. 24) at 3:30 p.m. at Mercyhurst.
