At Ashland: Since she arrived on campus, Kelley has been in the starting lineup. A third baseman with a steady glove and a hitter who has established herself as one of AU’s best clutch hitters, there is little she hasn’t accomplished in her first three seasons. In 2011 she was named second team All-GLIAC.  Entering the 2012 season Kelley is sixth in career batting average at Ashland. She’s sixth in career RBI and tied for fifth in doubles. Last season she led the Eagles in batting average, hits and doubles and started every game.  Her RBI total in 2010 tied her for the fourth best single-season mark in school history.  That same season she led the Eagles in batting average and tied for the team lead in doubles and RBI.  Kelley was named to the GLIAC honorable mention list.  As a freshman in 2009, Kelley hit in the middle of the order and earned first team All-GLIAC and second team all-region (Daktronics) plaudits.  Kelley had the second highest batting average on the team and she had the third highest RBI total.  She was second on the club in doubles.  Kelley was third in slugging percentage (.448).  Kelley was tabbed as the GLIAC player of the week once.  She started every game as a rookie.

High School: Kelley came to the Eagles with a very unique background, she played high school baseball in 2004.  Later she moved to softball and in 2006-2007, played on a Mentor team that claimed a Lake Erie League championship.  That same year Mentor won a district crown.  In 2007 she was the team’s co-defensive player of the year.   Kelley was named to the Lake County Coaches Association team (first team).  She also played for the Sunraze fastpitch team where she hit a team-leading .516.  Kelley also had an outstanding basketball career at Mentor.  She played on teams that won league and district championships.  She started as a freshman and was honored as the program’s freshman of the year.

Personal: The senior is the daughter of Robert and Denise Kelley.  She is a history education major.
