#2 Cayla Seidler * 2B * SO * R/R * Massillon, Ohio/Massillon Washington

At Ashland: Seidler earned honorable mention All-GLIAC laurels last season.  She solidified the second base position both offensively and defensively. She provided the Eagles with exceptional defense, she had just five errors in 127 chances.  Seidler started every game in 2011.  The freshman tied for third on the team in homers.  In 2012, she’s projected to hit lead-off.

High School: As a senior, Seidler hit .400.  She was named the team’s academic player of the year three times and was the offensive player of the year in 2008.  She was named the team’s most valuable player in 2010.  Seidler lettered four times each in softball and basketball and once in cross country.

Personal: Seidler is the daughter of Sue and Ed Seidler.  She is an early childhood education major.
