#14 Brianna Woody * SS * SR * R/R * Cleveland, Ohio/Magnificat

At Ashland: Woody has been the starting shortstop for the last three years. She had the best year of her career in 2011. She was fourth on the team in batting average, second in homers and tied for second in RBI. Woody was second on the team in stolen bases.  She earned second team All-GLIAC honors. Woody has a strong arm and excellent range. Along with third baseman Alyssa Kelley, she gives the Eagles one of the top left sides of the infield in the region.   In 2009, Woody led the team in sacrifice bunts (nine).  She was fifth on the team in batting average.

High School: Woody was named first team All-Northeast Ohio.  She won a Scholar-Athlete award at Magnificat.  Woody hit .443 with six triples, four doubles and two homers.  She owned a slugging percentage of .670.  In 2005 and 2007 Magnificat was the district runner-up.

Personal:  The AU shortstop is an athletic training major.  She was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team last season.  Woody's parents are Jill Woody and Ralph Woody.
